Xbox Game Pass November 2026: Warhammer Survivors and the day-one wave skip Premium

Every month Microsoft publishes its Xbox Game Pass list, and every month the coverage counts the games. November’s first wave counts well: a stack of new releases arriving on the same day they go on sale, packed into the first half of the month. What the roundups skip is the small print next to each title, the line that says which subscription it belongs to. Read those labels and November stops being one lineup. It becomes three, sorted by what a subscriber pays.

The launch-day games, the part of the list that sells the service, go to two plans only: Game Pass Ultimate, which covers console, cloud and PC, and PC Game Pass. Premium, the middle plan on console, gets a different shelf of games, some of them worth playing, none of them new on launch day. That split is the mechanism Microsoft rebuilt Game Pass around, and this month shows it more plainly than most.

Every day-one game in November sits above Premium

Xbox Wire’s November post flags six entries as “available on day one”: Football Manager 27 on PC, out today; Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School on November 5; the console edition of Football Manager 27, Warhammer Survivors and Tanuki: Pon’s Summer, all on November 10; and Hope in the City on November 11. Each one carries the same two labels, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Not one carries Premium.

Warhammer Survivors is the obvious headliner. It is an officially licensed game from Auroch Digital, made in partnership with poncle, the developer of Vampire Survivors; GameSpot sums it up as Vampire Survivors with a grimdark spin. Escape Academy 2, which Microsoft bills as the first open-world escape room game, adds online and local two-player co-op. Hope in the City is a mystery adventure about a teenager who comes home to a ransacked apartment and two missing parents, set, as GameSpot notes, in the seedy underbelly of Shenyang.

What Premium subscribers actually get this month

Premium’s share of the wave is eight games. Pit of Goblin, an online horror co-op game, reaches its full release today after an early-access run that GameSpot dates to 2024. Void/Breaker, a roguelite shooter, arrives in its 1.0 version. Then come Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, the small strategy game Thronefall, John Carpenter‘s Toxic Commando, a four-player co-op zombie shooter, and Paw Patrol: Dino World. Two more are marked “now with Game Pass Premium”: Vampire Crawlers, from the creators of Vampire Survivors, and Aphelion, the sci-fi adventure Don’t Nod made in partnership with the European Space Agency.

The list has real quality in it, and a ceiling over it. The newest, most marketed releases of the month are on the other side of an upgrade, and Microsoft’s own post says so in the labels rather than in the headline.

The price of day one is eight dollars a month

Since Microsoft’s April price cut, Premium costs $14.99 a month in the US and Ultimate $22.99, according to Pure Xbox’s breakdown of the new prices. In the UK the gap is £10.99 against £16.99; in the eurozone, €12.99 against €20.99. On a console, that difference is what a launch-day game costs.

PC Game Pass shows how deliberate the line is. At $13.99 it is a dollar cheaper than Premium, and it gets all six day-one entries, because every one of them is listed for PC. A PC player pays less than a Premium console player and receives the launches the console player has to upgrade for. In practice Game Pass works as three products, and the newest games are the lever that moves people up the ladder.

The bottom rung is filling with older games. Essential, the $9.99 plan, adds eight titles on November 15: Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Gears of War: Judgment, Halo: Spartan Assault, Perfect Dark, Viva Piñata and Viva Piñata: TIP. Back catalogue at the bottom, new releases at the top.

Thirteen or fourteen departures, depending on who counts

The same day, the outgoing wave leaves. Xbox Wire lists thirteen titles departing on November 15, among them Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Wreckfest, 1000xResist, Moonlighter and GoldenEye 007. GameSpot and Pure Xbox count fourteen because they add Football Manager 26, which Pure Xbox says leaves on November 10, the day Football Manager 27 arrives on console. One edition hands over to the next. Most departing games are discounted by at least 20% until they go, per Pure Xbox, and GameSpot reports a second batch of exits on November 30.

The calendar is just as easy to read. GameSpot observes, drily, that the month is front-loaded with releases before November 19, the date Grand Theft Auto VI launches. Microsoft’s wave stops on November 17. GTA VI is not part of it; GameSpot’s buying guide lists the standard edition at $80.

On November 15, GoldenEye 007 leaves Game Pass on the same day Perfect Dark joins Essential, the cheapest plan. That is the whole ladder in a single day: one old shooter walks out, another walks in at the bottom, and the new games stay at the top for whoever pays for them.
