PS Plus November 2026: Dead Island 2 Returns 11 Weeks After Leaving Extra

Sony’s PlayStation Plus monthly games for November include a zombie game that Extra and Premium subscribers watched leave the service at the end of the summer. Dambuster Studios’ Los Angeles outbreak RPG is back, and this time the terms are better. It arrives as a monthly game that members add to their account, not as a catalog rental with a removal date already set.

That swap shows how the service works more clearly than any price chart. The Game Catalog that Extra and Premium members pay more for is a shelf that Sony restocks and clears on a schedule. The monthly games that every tier receives work differently: add one during its window and it stays playable for as long as the membership continues. Alongside the zombie game come the second half of Aspyr’s remastered classic Tomb Raider games and a deckbuilding roguelite sequel.

The November lineup, platforms and dates

The three games are Dead Island 2 (PS5, PS4), Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered (PS5, PS4) and Monster Train 2 (PS5). According to the PlayStation Blog, all three can be added from Tuesday, November 3 until Monday, November 30. Push Square points out that the lineup rotates on December 1, and that a game redeemed before then stays accessible for as long as the member keeps a PS Plus subscription.

Dead Island 2 is Dambuster Studios’ 2023 action RPG, published by Deep Silver. It is set in a quarantined, zombie-overrun Los Angeles and built around close-quarters melee combat with a wide arsenal of inventive weapons. Up to three players can team up in online co-op.

Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered collects what Sony’s post calls the Darkness Trilogy: The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness, which Core Design originally released between 1999 and 2003. Aspyr made the collection with Saber Interactive and released it in February 2025, a year after the same team’s Tomb Raider I–III Remastered. Players can switch between the original polygonal models and the new graphics at any time. Critics gave it mixed reviews at launch.

Monster Train 2 is a single-player deckbuilding roguelite, released in May 2025 by Big Fan Games, a Devolver Digital label. Players command clans of former angels and demons, now allied against the Titans who have seized Heaven, and defend a train across three vertical levels on a run through Hell, Heaven and the Abyss. The sequel adds five new clans.

Dead Island 2 left PS Plus Extra eleven weeks earlier

Dead Island 2 joined the Extra and Premium catalog in October 2024, when Gameswelt called it the headliner of that month’s additions. It left on August 18, 2026, in a batch of nine departures that Engadget, Notebookcheck and Insider Gaming all picked up from the PlayStation Store’s Last Chance to Play section. From that day, anyone who wanted to keep playing had to buy it.

It now returns through a different door, eleven weeks later. For an Extra or Premium member who lost it partway through the campaign, November is the chance to add it again, this time without a removal date for as long as they keep subscribing. Essential members, who never had access to the catalog, get it as a new game. Sony’s announcement does not mention the game’s earlier catalog run.

The Tomb Raider remasters now come as a set

The Tomb Raider pick follows the same logic over a longer gap. Tomb Raider I–III Remastered was one of April’s monthly games, alongside Lords of the Fallen and Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream. A member who added it in April and adds IV–VI in November now holds all six of Core Design’s original Tomb Raider games in remastered form, split across two monthly drops seven months apart.

The catch is the condition attached to every monthly game. Both collections stay playable only while the subscription is active. Let it lapse and neither can be played.

What else changes for subscribers in November

October’s monthly games, F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, can still be added until Monday, November 2, the day before the new lineup unlocks.

Extra and Premium members also face a bigger exit later in the month. Push Square reports that eleven games leave the catalog on November 17, including GTA 5, Red Dead Redemption 2, Football Manager 26, The Talos Principle 2 and Cricket 24. Those departures follow the catalog rule: access ends on the date, and the way to keep playing is to buy the game.

Dead Island 2’s round trip shows where the value in a PlayStation Plus membership sits. A catalog game stays on Sony’s schedule. A monthly game, once added, stays as long as the member keeps paying. Anyone planning to play even one of the three should add all of them before November 30, including the ones they don’t intend to start yet.
