Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Martin Cid

Writer, pipe smoker and founder of MCM. Author of thirteen books.

Editor-in-chief

Veronica Loop

Verónica Loop is the general manager of MCM, with more than ten years in magazines and publishing. She writes with an editor's authority, placing each film in its industry and cultural moment — and is never afraid of a clear verdict.

Technology

Susan Hill

Susan Hill is the editor of the technology section. Science, programming, artificial intelligence, computers, and new inventions. Additionally, she is in charge of bringing us closer to the space world and new cosmic findings.

Adrian Kessler

Adrian Kessler covers technology for MCM — AI, security, and the systems quietly running under everything. He reads a launch or a breach for what is actually happening under the hood, who it empowers and what it costs, and explains the deep mechanics without the hype. Skeptical by training, lucid by habit. Berlin, Germany.

Cassian Vale

Cassian Vale is MCM's video games editor. He writes about games as authored works — the design choices, the worlds, and the stories only this medium can tell — with the same scrutiny the magazine brings to film and art. A lapsed literature student who fell for games through the immersive sims and narrative adventures of the 2000s, he is drawn to creators who treat play as a language of its own. Based in Montréal, Canada.

Movies

Anna Green

Anna Green is a prominent member of the MCM editorial team. Based in Australia, she is a versatile journalist who writes about art, films, nature, or fashion, always bringing her personal and characteristic touch: emotional depth in everything she does.

Martha O'Hara

Martha O'Hara is a film critic, journalist and painter based in New York. She writes about cinema with a painter's eye — light, composition and the texture of a place — and brings the same sensibility to travel pieces on landscapes and cultures.

Camille Lefèvre

Camille Lefèvre is a film critic at MCM. Raised on the Cahiers tradition, she reads a film as cinema in conversation with its own history — a director's signature across a body of work, the grammar of the cut and the long take, what the mise-en-scène is really doing. She watches for the film inside the film. Paris, France.

Molly Se-kyung

Molly Se-kyung is a novelist and film & television critic, and oversees MCM's style coverage. She reads movies the way she builds fiction — by structure, character economy and what a scene chooses to withhold — with a particular ear for East-Asian cinema and series.

Jun Satō

Jun Satō is an art and style editor at MCM, tracking new trends and world culture with a designer's eye. She writes about film as a visual and sonic object — art direction, costume, score and mood — in prose as spare and elegant as the work she admires.

Music

Alice Lange

Alice Lange is passionate about music. She has been part of several groups in the production side and has now decided to bring her experience to the field of journalism. She also reviews movies and television and participates in various events.

Noah Brandt

Noah Brandt is a music critic at MCM. He reads a record for what it is reaching for — the writing, the production choice, the scene it belongs to — not its chart position. He hears the decision in a mix and tells you why it matters. Los Angeles, United States.

People

Penelope H. Fritz

Penelope H. Fritz is a highly qualified and professional writer with an innate talent for capturing the essence of people through her profiles and biographies. Her words are eloquent and insightful, painting a vivid picture of her subjects and leaving readers captivated.

Science

Peter Finch

Peter Finch is in charge of the Science section and brings us the latest discoveries in the scientific field. A native of London, England, he has felt an inclination for science since he was a child and now brings it to us in an informative way in his role as a journalist.

Nadia Okonkwo

Nadia Okonkwo covers science for MCM. She reads a discovery for what it overturns, how we actually know it, and what it changes — the frontier where physics, biology and the planet meet the human story. Rigorous, lucid, never breathless. Cambridge, England.

Sports

Jack T. Taylor

Jack T. Taylor is the head of the sports section at MCM. He practices several sports and, since he was a child, has been a lover of American football and, above all, tennis. With his unique style, he is responsible for bringing us a different perspective beyond what we see in a standard sports broadcast. New York, United States.

Kenji Nakamura

Kenji Nakamura writes about sport for MCM with a tactician's eye. He reads a match as a system — shape, space and tempo, the manager's plan and the pattern beneath the scoreline — the structural idea that decides a contest before its drama does. A lifelong student of football and the global game. Tokyo, Japan.

Art

Lisbeth Thalberg

Journalist and artist (photographer). Editor of the MCM art section. She is in charge of providing us with an international vision of the art world. Through her global perspective, Lisbeth takes us on her artistic journey around the world and brings us the best exhibitions. Paris, France.

Business

Victor Maslow

Victor Maslow heads the business and finance desk at MCM. He covers global markets and the technology economy with an analyst's eye — the strategy behind a launch, the stakes behind a valuation, the decision behind the numbers. He explains what moves markets without losing the human story. London, United Kingdom.

Books, Theater & Nature

Martha Lucas

Martha Lucas writes about cinema, theatre and books for MCM from Seville, Spain. A novelist in progress, she reads film through a literary and theatrical lens — language, dramaturgy and how a story survives the move from page or stage to screen.
