JENNIE’s Fallen Angel CD adds three songs streaming doesn’t have, one brand new

Fallen Angel, the solo EP from BLACKPINK’s JENNIE, now runs to six songs, but only on CD. The physical edition adds “sweettooth”, “lockitdown” and “Face” to the three tracks already on streaming services, and none of the additions can be streamed. “Face” is a song heard for the first time on this disc, according to the Korean outlet TV Report.

That split means there are now two versions of Fallen Angel, depending on how you listen. For most of her audience the EP has been the title track, “HEAVEN” and “Less Than a Lover”, a run of under nine minutes whose official video has passed 33 million views on YouTube, up from nearly five million on its first day. The disc doubles the track count and reorders the set, slotting the three extras between “Less Than a Lover” and “HEAVEN”, so the streaming edition is not just shorter but differently shaped. ODD ATELIER, the label JENNIE founded, said she picked the three songs herself for her fans.

One of them is already familiar to her festival crowds. “lockitdown”, introduced on stage as “Lock It Down”, is a dance-pop song about a secret affair, as Billboard Brasil described it. It entered her setlist at Governors Ball in New York and came back at Open’er in Gdynia, Poland, where she also previewed “HEAVEN” and “Less Than a Lover” before either had been released. Little has been said in public about “sweettooth” beyond its title.

The EP arrives in the busiest solo stretch of her career. Ruby, her first full-length album, debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, and TV Report counts seven major international festivals she headlined this year, Summer Sonic in Tokyo and Osaka among them. “Less Than a Lover”, released ahead of the EP as a single, reached No. 1 on the Bugs real-time chart and No. 10 on Melon’s HOT100, the two Korean services where a K-pop release is measured first. “Dracula”, her collaboration with Tame Impala, has spent 11 weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, the same outlet reports.

Physical-only tracks are a familiar K-pop device for turning a CD into a collectible, and the cost falls on listeners. Anyone without a disc player, which covers much of the audience that found JENNIE through playlists and short video clips, has no legitimate way to hear half of the record, and no streaming release has been announced for the three songs. The critical picture stays incomplete too. Last.fm users tag Fallen Angel as alt-pop and bedroom pop, a reading built entirely on the streaming half, where the EP counts about 61,000 listeners and close to 1.5 million plays. Whether the CD tracks keep to that softer register or lean toward the dance-pop of “lockitdown” is something only buyers can check for now.

The CD, released by Columbia under exclusive license from ODD ATELIER, is out on October 30, 2026, two months after the digital EP arrived on August 28. MusicBrainz lists US and UK pressings, and Korean outlets reported the same date for the Korean release. Pre-orders opened in late August, when the label revealed the six-song running order: “FALLEN ANGEL”, “Less Than a Lover”, “sweettooth”, “lockitdown”, “Face” and “HEAVEN”. The digital edition still has three tracks.

Until that changes, the complete Fallen Angel is an object you buy, not a stream you press play on.
