South African actor Stelio Savante (Sarah’s Oil, The Chosen) has wrapped on the serial killer thriller Green River Killer, written by Timothy Michael Hayes (Mary, Hershey), directed by Johnny J. Tabor, and starring alongside a cast that includes David Arquette (Scream, The Unholy Trinity), Nick Stahl (Disturbing Behavior, Sin City), Vincent Kartheiser (Mad Men, My Friend Dahmer), and Rainey Qualley (Shut In, The Queen Of Manhattan).
Green River Killer has the following synopsis: Set against the backdrop of the Pacific Northwest in the early 1980s, the story follows two conflicted detectives (Arquette and Stahl) as they descend into the murky depths of an investigation that would define their careers and haunt their lives. As they pursue a predator who blends seamlessly into everyday life, a man who is no one and everyone. The line between justice and obsession blurs, revealing the true cost of confronting evil.

Savante is also currently starring in Sarah’s Oil (Amazon MGM) as the character Earl, described by Marcus Thorne (Gazettely) as ‘bringing coarse menace’. Sarah’s Oil enters its third week in theaters, having grossed almost $9million as of November 16th. Directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh from his script with Betsy Nowrasteh, Sarah’s Oil stars Zachary Levi, newcomer Naya Desir Johnson, Sonequa Martin Green, Garret Dillahunt, Mel Rodriguez, Kenric Green, Adyan Copes, and Bridget Regan.
Sarah’s Oil is a historical, biographical drama, which tells the true story of Sarah Rector, a young African American girl who became a millionaire as the result of finding oil on her land in the early 1900s.
A SAG award nominee (ensemble cast) for his role as Steve in Ugly Betty, Savante will next be seen in three new features all based on true stories.

The Israeli drama Stay Forte (Be Strong), filmed in Tbilisi, Georgia, directed by Israeli filmmaker Doron Eran, also starring Selma Blair and Judd Hirsch. Produced by Eran and Tomer Almagor, Stay Forte tells the story of Alon Shamiriz, Yotam Haim and Samer Tallaka, three Israeli men abducted to the Gaza Strip as a result of the Oct 7th attacks, and later killed in friendly fire.
Also in the UK-South African co-production, crime drama, Poachers Moon filmed in Kimberely, South Africa. Directed by Tom Datnow, produced by Datnow’s production banner, DODATNOW FILMS in association with Mqondisi ‘MQ’ Ngubane’s production company, MQ films.

In the survival thriller Hazel, directed by Daniel Bielinski, starring opposite Laurie Fortier. In Hazel: When an unexpected blizzard hits Center, North Dakota in 1920, a heroic 16 year old girl struggles to keep her two young siblings alive through twenty-five hours of subzero temperatures.
He can currently be seen in Between Borders,streaming on Angel Studios platform. Directed by Mark Freiburger, starring alongside Elizabeth Tabish and Patrick Sabongui, with Michael Paul Chan, and Elizabeth Mitchell, an immigration drama, filmed in Romania.
