Stelio Savante In Exclusive New Clip In Samuel Goldwyn’s Hazel’s Heart, Starring Opposite Madelyn Dundon and Laurie Fortier

SAG award-nominated (Actor award) and award-winning South African actor Stelio Savante (The Chosen) expands his four-decade prolific film and television career by continuing to take on roles in true story film adaptations, some of which have been attracting large audiences to theaters and winning awards.

Stelio Savante has the male lead role as William Miner in the true story survival thrillerHazel’s Heart,’ starring opposite Madelyn Dundon and Laurie Fortier. Written and directed by Daniel Bielinski, ‘Hazel’s Heart’ is about three children, including William’s daughter Hazel Miner (Madelyn Dundon), who became lost in a blizzard in March of 1920, fighting to survive while their father leads a desperate hunt to find them before it is too late. In addition, Savante is an executive producer of ‘Hazel’s Heart.’ Released in December 2025 and distributed by Samuel Goldwyn Films. It is currently streaming on Angel Studios, Digital, and Prime Video.

The Independent Critic states that Stelio Savante is, “Convincing both as the gruff, unforgiving father and the relentlessly devoted man doing whatever it takes to save his children, Savante adds much of the electricity that engagingly moves Hazel’s Heart forward.“

Additionally, Stelio Savante stars as Earl Raskin, opposite Zachary Levi, Garret Dillahunt, and Sonequa Martin-Green inSarah’s Oil,’the remarkable true story of eleven-year-old Sarah Rector, an African American girl born in Oklahoma Indian Territory in the early 1900s, who believes there is oil beneath the barren land she’s allotted and whose faith is proven right.  Directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh, who also wrote with Betsy Giffen Nowrasteh, the film has won an NAACP Image Award and two Movieguide Awards. It was released theatrically and is now available on digital, distributed by Amazon MGM Studios.

Savante also stars as Bassam in Stay Forte,’ a war drama based on true events about three Israeli hostages – Alon Shamriz, Yotam Haim, and Samer Talalka – who escaped their Gaza captors but were killed while trying to reach Israel, after being taken from their homes and held in terror tunnels. Directed by Doron Eran, written by Omri Rose and Tomer Almagor, Stelio Savante stars opposite Selma Blair and Judd Hirsh, with Shahar Tavoch, Tomer Machloof, Wael Hamdun, Roy Vongtama, and Johnny Arbid. The film will have a theatrical release in Spring of 2026, with details to follow soon.
