Major Update to C-Smash VRS Brings Exciting Features to Virtual Reality Racket Sports

On the 1st of May, enthusiasts of virtual reality (VR) sports will have reason to celebrate as C-Smash VRS, the beloved cosmic racket sports game, receives a significant update. Published and produced by RapidEyeMovers with Wolf & Wood as developers, the game is set to enhance its offering on platforms including PS VR2, Meta Quest 2/3/Pro, and PICO 4/4 Pro.

This free update promises to inject new energy and competition into the game with the introduction of several groundbreaking features and gameplay improvements. Among these, the Time Attack Mode stands out, inviting players to smash as many blocks as possible within a set time limit. What makes this mode even more exciting is the integration of a Ken Ishii remix of Starstorm, promising a high-energy backdrop for players striving to ascend the newly implemented Worldwide Leaderboards. Notably, the leaderboards will see a monthly refresh of the Top 10, opening up opportunities for new athletes to claim the top spots.

Other enhancements include a revamped leaderboard system, allowing players to easily view the Top 10 entries and locate their own position by interacting with any leaderboard. Furthermore, a newly added shortcut feature on the main menu ensures quick access to these new features and facilitates the search for online matches.

Improvements to the gameplay experience have also been made, including an endless Practice Mode accessible from the single-player menu. The Teleport Movement setting has been updated for better ball trajectory prediction and positioning, along with a new pause time setting for single-player modes to ensure seamless play. Additionally, a Reduced Movement Option has been introduced for players preferring less physical activity while engaging in the game.

In addition to gameplay advancements, C-Smash VRS also addresses several bugs and introduces quality-of-life improvements to ensure a smoother playing experience for its users.

Looking ahead, fans of the franchise can anticipate the release of C-Smash VRS – New Dimension, a new third-person version of the game slated for PlayStation 5 release in late Summer 2024.

Available across a range of VR platforms, C-Smash VRS continues to stand out in the growing field of virtual reality sports games. With these latest updates, the game is poised to offer an even more immersive and competitive experience for players around the globe.
