Magic Merchant Simulator makes you stir every potion by hand for a wizard school’s students

Fantasy fiction has always needed somebody behind the counter. Every young wizard in the robes-and-wands tradition buys a wand, a broom, a quill and a cauldron’s worth of ingredients from someone, and that someone almost never gets a name. Magic Merchant Simulator, the upcoming PC game from OZN Game Studio, is built entirely around that overlooked figure: it hands you the keys of the shop that supplies a magical academy and asks you to make, by hand, everything its students carry out the door.

What separates it from the crowded shelf of shop simulators is physical labour. On the game’s Steam page, the studio describes crafting as a sequence of gestures rather than a menu: you carve, file and polish a wand handle, stir a cauldron by moving the mouse, then bottle the result. Brooms are assembled, candles poured, quills prepared and books bound, each at its own workbench. The interface is the craft, the same bet that turned job simulators into a genre of their own, transplanted to a world where the job happens to be enchantment.

The supply chain starts outdoors. A garden of planting beds feeds the workshop: you sow seeds, draw water from a well, tend the plants and carry the harvest inside to become potions, dyes and other goods. The customers are students from the neighbouring academy, and the studio says the school’s weekly classes and events shift prices, which turns stocking the shelves into a small exercise in reading demand. What is the curriculum asking for this week, and what should be simmering tonight?

Progression is spatial as much as economic. Earnings buy new workbenches, a larger garden and a bigger shop floor; you decide where each station sits, move and rotate the decorations, and choose the name above the door. The store screenshots also show a mastery tree split into disciplines such as potion brewing, candle making, wandmaking and broom making, with upgrades labelled Magic Helper and Batch Production, a hint that the hand-made loop may eventually loosen into something closer to management.

OZN Game Studio is candid about how early this is. In the note shared with MCM, Melih Öznalbant of OZN Game Studio presents it as a first-person crafting and shopkeeping game coming to PC through Steam, offered for editorial consideration rather than paid placement. The public material is a gameplay trailer; there is no playable demo yet, and no release date has been announced. The Steam page lists the game as coming soon.

Whether hand-stirring the hundredth potion feels like ritual or chore is something only a demo will settle. For now the pitch is quiet and unusually specific: in a genre built on chosen ones, the person who sold them their wand finally gets the first-person view.
