LE SSERAFIM strips BOOMPALA to piano and finds out if the vocals can carry it

Alice Lange

LE SSERAFIM has released a piano arrangement of “BOOMPALA” through the YouTube Music official Topic channel. The version features only piano accompaniment and is not available on Spotify.

The group has built its reputation on high-intensity choreography and dense electronic production. Their recent project PUREFLOW Pt.1 continued that approach, making this acoustic arrangement a significant departure from their established sound.

Stripped of its production layers, the arrangement places the quintet’s vocal blend at the center of the music with nowhere to hide. The groove that defined the original BOOMPALA was partially a function of its programmed rhythm; here, that groove must be reconstructed from the interplay of voice and piano alone. Whether the arrangement succeeds in that reconstruction is a question left to the listener.

Piano version releases have become a standardized K-pop promotional tool, and this one is no exception. View counts stand at roughly 18,000 a few days after release, and the absence of a Spotify listing limits the track’s reach beyond YouTube. The promotional function may well be the primary one here, though that does not diminish the arrangement itself.

The release comes through the “LE SSERAFIM – Topic” channel, an auto-generated YouTube Music distribution account distinct from the group’s official channel. MusicBrainz lists it as a one-track single categorized as a remix, making it a formal entry in the group’s discography.

“BOOMPALA (Piano ver.)” was released on May 23, 2026.
