The last tour in TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s ACT series has its final run in cinemas, not arenas. TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR ‘ACT : TOMORROW’, HYBE’s concert film of the K-pop group’s fourth world tour, is the closing piece of a cycle the five members built around a word borrowed from the theatre. Each of their tours has been an act. This one, cut for cinemas and released through HYBE CINE FEST, is the curtain.

The timing is precise. The film’s last scheduled screenings, in Japan, end the night before the group opens STEAL THE WIND in Seoul, its first tour under a new name. The announcement presented the new tour as a new story after the ACT tours, a title meant as making the momentum one’s own, according to Sports Kyunghyang. A concert film usually extends the life of a tour. This one marks the point where a tour’s vocabulary stops.

YouTube video

The cast is the one a concert film always has: Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai, credited as themselves. What carries meaning in this format is the frame around them, and the still at the top of this page is a small lesson in it. The five stand in matching sage bomber jackets studded along the seams, white T-shirts beneath, black distressed denim, in front of an LED wall of pixelated red and blue terrain. The costume insists on a unit of five before it allows five individuals. Crank-in describes the trailer released for the Japanese run as a condensation of stage performance and of the moments that set the venue alight, which is exactly what the format promises and nothing more.

Twenty-nine shows, one staged record

The source material is large. ACT : TOMORROW opened with two nights at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul in August 2025, crossed eight American cities from San Jose to Newark, filled five Japanese domes from Belluna Dome to Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka, and passed through Hong Kong, Singapore and the Taipei Dome before closing in Kuala Lumpur in February: 29 shows across Asia and North America. Korean coverage of the Lotte Cinema programme describes the film as built from the Seoul concerts that opened the tour; the Japanese listing speaks more broadly of footage from the world tour. Both call it a live film, a record of a staged show, and the staging is the subject.

The release model matters as much as the film. HYBE CINE FEST began in Latin America, moved across Asia the following year and this autumn went global through Trafalgar Releasing, in more than 60 territories over a single week. The programme had six presentations: two live broadcasts of BTS from Buenos Aires and São Paulo, concert films for SEVENTEEN’s NEW_, for TOMORROW X TOGETHER and for ENHYPEN’s BLOOD SAGA, and the HYBE Cheering Party, a 3D sing-along to music videos from 13 HYBE acts. In Korea the festival played exclusively at Lotte Cinema and every film screened in sing-along format, MTN reported. Select cinemas abroad added fan zones, merchandise and pop-up stores.

“Bringing together major concert films, interactive 3D cheering parties, and landmark live broadcasts across a single week gives fans everywhere an unprecedented way to celebrate their favorite HYBE artists together in cinemas,” Trafalgar chief executive Marc Allenby said in the announcement reported by Variety. The cinema is designed as a second venue: lyrics on the screen, light sticks in the seats, a shop in the lobby.

What the 97 minutes leave out

What the format does not settle is authorship. None of the festival publicity we found names a director for the film, and HYBE has not published what its 97 minutes contain. The Seoul set, as logged in published setlists, ran past 30 songs and included a solo stage for each member; a feature-length cut of a show that size is a sequence of choices, and the audience is not told which were made. The economics are folded away too. Box Office Mojo tracks HYBE CINE FEST as a single multi-title release, with an estimated worldwide gross close to $10 million that also counts the two BTS broadcasts, so there is no way to measure this film on its own. A one-week festival slot is also a ceiling: outside Japan, no further screenings have been announced.

The credits are corporate, which is at least honest about the object. TMDB lists HYBE as the production company, the Japanese materials carry a BIGHIT MUSIC, HYBE and HYBE JAPAN copyright, and the Japanese trailer is published by avex pictures. Trafalgar, which has distributed concert films for Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Metallica and works with more than 15,000 cinemas in 132 countries, handled the worldwide release. The film runs 97 minutes and is classed as a music documentary. It is not the group’s first time in the format: Japanese listings show the previous tour, ACT : SWEET MIRAGE, screening under the festival’s Asian edition.

The film opened worldwide on October 24, 2026, inside HYBE CINE FEST, which ran in the United States and more than 60 other territories until October 31. Japan, where the festival releases its films one after another, is the exception still running: the TOMORROW X TOGETHER film plays there until November 12, with HYBE Cheering Party screenings on November 5 and 12, before ENHYPEN’s film takes over on November 13. No further US screenings have been announced. STEAL THE WIND opens at KSPO Dome in Seoul with three sold-out nights from November 13 to 15, and the ninth mini album, PERFECT STORM, follows on November 16.

On November 12 the last scheduled screenings of ACT : TOMORROW end in Japan. The next evening, in Seoul, the same five open a tour under a different word.
