Akwire Media Group will begin production in Los Angeles on Jack in the Box, the new holiday rom-com written and directed by Keishawn Blackstone (Stuck in Society). The film is set to shoot in Los Angeles throughout November and will feature an ensemble cast including Amie Yaniak, (Loving your Life) Aswan Harris ( Draft Day ), James Pratt ( Malibu Crush , Johnny Manziel Uncut) , Rhonda Bankston ( Fire), Tangie Ambrose ( In Plain Sight, A House Divided ) Josh Lyles ( Stuck in Society ) Dontavion Reynolds, Kristie Lawerence ( Forgiven) Jodie Cook and Rico Rico. Selenesol Singleton ( New Beginnings) will serve as director of photography
“Jack in the Box is about the unexpected connections that bring people together, especially when love seems most complicated,” said Blackstone. “We’re creating a holiday film that feels both authentic and funny and full of heart.”
Distribution is being kept under wraps at this time with Akwire Media Group is financing and producing the film with support from production partners including Illuminar, Liverpool LA, Naughty & Nice Beauty and Beatta J Collection.
