Ice Theatre of New York® Announces Dazzling 2024 Home Season and Benefit Gala Featuring World Champion Ilia Malinin

New York, NY – The Ice Theatre of New York, Inc® (ITNY) is thrilled to announce its 2024 Home Season Performances, set to captivate audiences with a blend of artistry and athleticism on ice. The season kicks off at Sky Rink at Chelsea Piers with performances slated for Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4, both starting at 7 pm, and culminates in a grand Benefit Gala Performance on Monday, May 6, at 6:30 pm.

This year, ITNY is honored to host 2024 World Champion, Ilia Malinin, known as the “Quad God,” as the guest artist at the Benefit Gala. This event promises an evening of unforgettable performances by the ITNY Ensemble and the esteemed guest artist. In addition, the gala will celebrate the contributions of Olympic ice dancing legends Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Tanith Belbin White and Ben Agosto, choreographer Sandra Bezic, and alum Judy Blumberg.

2024 Home Season Highlights

The home season lineup boasts a diverse range of pieces, from the mesmerizing “In Flight Entertainment”, exploring the synergy between ice and air, performed by ITNY Professional Ensemble Members Sarah France & Libby McGrosky, to “Neurocircle”, a unique aerial skating piece created by France that dives into the concept of neural connections and personal expression.

Adding to the dynamic program is “Root to Rise”, a powerful exploration of awakening and unity choreographed by ITNY Performing Apprentice Milly Wasserman. “Take Five”, a playful rendition choreographed by Eliot Halverson and “Butterfly Phase” by Benoit Richaud, along with performances by ice dance siblings Oona & Gage Brown, a poignant piece titled “Dry Your Tears, Afrika” by Theron “TJ” James, and the emotive “Sacrosanct” by Lorna Brown, rounds up an enthralling series of performances.

Tickets for the performances are priced between $25-50, with the Gala Performance tickets at $50. Exclusive to the Benefit Gala, tickets start at $550, offering attendees not just a showcase of top-tier ice skating talent but also cocktails, dinner, and an awards ceremony at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. This premium event, integral to ITNY’s 2024 Home Season, aims to unite patrons and enthusiasts in support of the arts and the athletic grace of ice skating.
