“Dear Child” is a thriller that, while it does have its necessary melodramatic moments, offers all the intrigue, surprises, and mystery that make binge-watching so popular in the age of streaming. In great part, and in this case, due to its compelling approach.

Premise

The series follows the story of a young woman who escapes from captivity after 13 years. She is found at the scene of a car accident, along with her unconscious mother. The investigation into the woman’s disappearance leads to a dark and twisted truth.

Review of “Dear Child”

This thriller has all the elements of a good suspenseful story, with its twists and turns that keep us engaged, and wanting to decipher the mystery. Moreover, it offers something extra for those seeking more realistic narratives: a storytelling style that feels authentic, well-crafted, and maintains a steady pace throughout.

“Dear Child” is not a horror thriller in line with the gruesome “The Silence of the Lambs,” although it may give off that impression at times with its dank basements, kidnappings, and dark scenarios. It is more of a social thriller, where the investigators and emotions play a significant role. It is a very human in its take and that appeals to our feelings, yet it doesn’t let itself be consumed by them. This combination gives the series its own personality and a unique, interesting, and solid and balanced narrative.

What initially appears to be a straightforward case involving the social services and investigators trying to solve a terrible crime soon becomes a more complex plot. Nothing is as it seems, and the series delves into a web of identities, past and present, intertwined with memories to create a well-crafted police intrigue.

Furthermore, the series allows us to delve into the characters. It is not a Hollywood-style thriller that bombards us with one surprise after another without giving us a moment to breathe. It is more contemplative and provides us with a narrative space for reflection, knowing when to pause and allow the audience to keep up the tempo as the events unfold. Truth be told, it does occasionally have a soapy telefilm style, but always leaves wanting to know how the thriller comes full circle.

“Dear Child” is an unexpected surprise that has arrived quietly but is sure to find a place among fans of a good thriller.

“Mi Dulce Niña” es un thriller que, aparte de sus evidentes y necesarias concesiones a lo melodramático, tiene toda la intriga, sorpresas y misterio como para hacer uno de esos maratones televisivos que tan de moda se han puesto desde la llegada del streaming.

Gracias a buenas series como ésta.

Argumento

La serie sigue la historia de una joven que escapa de su cautiverio después de 13 años. Es encontrada en el lugar de un accidente de coche, junto con su madre inconsciente. La investigación sobre la desaparición de la mujer conduce a una verdad oscura y retorcida.

Crítica de “Mi Dulce Niña”

Todos los elementos de un buen thriller, con su toque retorcido, misterioso y, además, un extra para los que quieren historias más verdaderas: una narración que sabe, en todo momento, a historia real, bien contada y que sabe encontrar su ritmo en todo momento.

“Mi Dulce Niña” no es un thriller de terror a lo “The Silence of the Lambs”, aunque a veces lo quiera parecer por los sótanos, secuestros y demás: es un más un thriller con toques sociales, en el que los investigadores y los sentimientos tienen mucho que decir. Es un thriller muy humano, que apela a los sentimientos pero que no se deja atrapar por ellos y que logra, en esta combinación, una personalidad propia y una narrativa peculiar, interesante y sólida.

Un caso terrible, con los servicios sociales, los investigadores y el entorno intentando esclarecer un caso que parece sencillo en las primeras escenas. Pero el argumento se va complicando y nada es lo que parece: la serie se sumerge en un juego de identidades, pasado y presente que, tejido con los recuerdos, va componiendo una intriga policial muy bien llevada.

Una serie que, además, permite entrar en los personajes: no es un thriller en plan Hollywood que nos lleva de una sorpresa a otra sin darnos respiro. Da espacio narrativo a la reflexión, sabe hacer sus pausas y se comporta a veces como un telefilme para luego retomar su aspecto más macabro de thriller oscuro.

“Mi Dulce Niña” es una sorpresa que ha llegado sin avisar, sin apenas hacer ruido, pero es una miniserie que, seguro, tendrá un espacio entre los aficionados al buen thriller.

Tous les éléments d’un bon thriller s’y trouvent, avec une touche de noirceur, de mystère et, en prime, une dose de réalisme pour ceux qui préfèrent les histoires authentiques : une narration qui a constamment l’air d’une histoire vraie, bien racontée et qui parvient à trouver son rythme à tout moment.

“Chère petite” n’est pas un thriller d’horreur à la manière de “Le Silence des agneaux”, bien qu’il puisse parfois donner cette impression avec ses sous-sols, ses enlèvements et autres éléments similaires. C’est plutôt un thriller social, dans lequel les enquêteurs et les émotions ont beaucoup à dire. C’est un thriller très humain, qui fait appel aux sentiments sans pour autant s’y laisser piéger, et qui réussit, dans cette combinaison, à développer une personnalité propre et une narration particulière, intéressante et solide.

Un cas terrible, avec les services sociaux, les enquêteurs et l’environnement qui tentent de résoudre une affaire qui semble simple au départ. Mais l’intrigue se complique et rien n’est ce qu’il semble être : la série plonge dans un jeu d’identités, entre passé et présent, qui, tissé avec les souvenirs, crée un suspense policier très bien mené.

Une série qui permet également de s’immerger dans les personnages : ce n’est pas un thriller à la manière d’Hollywood qui nous mène d’une surprise à l’autre sans nous laisser souffler. Elle laisse de la place à la réflexion, sait faire des pauses et adopte parfois l’apparence d’un téléfilm pour ensuite reprendre son aspect le plus sombre de thriller noir.

“Chère petite” est une surprise qui est arrivée sans prévenir, sans faire beaucoup de bruit, mais c’est une mini-série qui trouvera certainement sa place parmi les amateurs de bons thrillers.

Sie ist eine Reflexion über das Thema, sie lässt uns innehalten und ist manchmal wie ein Fernsehfilm, damit wir uns wieder mit dem Thriller-Aspekt des Films auseinandersetzen können.

“Liebes Kind” ist eine Verfilmung, die ohne jede Vorbedingung gemacht wurde, aber sicherlich einen Platz unter den Liebhabern guter Thriller finden wird.

Tutti gli elementi di un buon thriller, con quel tocco contorto, misterioso e in più, un extra per coloro che vogliono storie più autentiche: una narrazione che sa, in ogni momento, di storia vera, ben raccontata e che sa trovare il suo ritmo in ogni istante.

“La mia prediletta” non è un thriller horror come “Il silenzio degli innocenti”, anche se a volte può sembrare per i sotterranei, i rapimenti e altro ancora: è più un thriller con sfumature sociali, in cui gli investigatori e i sentimenti hanno molto da dire. È un thriller molto umano, che appella ai sentimenti ma che non si lascia intrappolare da essi e che riesce, in questa combinazione, a avere una personalità propria e una narrazione peculiare, interessante e solida.

Un caso terribile, con i servizi sociali, gli investigatori e l’ambiente che cercano di far luce su un caso che sembra semplice nelle prime scene. Ma la trama si complica e niente è come sembra: la serie si immerge in un gioco di identità, passato e presente che, intrecciato con i ricordi, compone un’intricata trama poliziesca molto ben gestita.

Una serie che, inoltre, permette di entrare nei personaggi: non è un thriller alla Hollywood che ci porta da una sorpresa all’altra senza darci respiro. Concede spazio alla riflessione, sa fare delle pause e a volte si comporta come un film per la televisione per poi riprendere il suo aspetto più macabro di thriller oscuro.

“La mia prediletta” è una sorpresa che è arrivata senza preavviso, senza fare molto rumore, ma è una miniserie che sicuramente troverà spazio tra gli appassionati del buon thriller.

Toate elementele unui thriller bun, cu o notă de mister și de răsucire, și un plus pentru cei care își doresc povești mai adevărate: o narațiune care se simte mereu ca o poveste reală, bine spusă, și care știe să-și găsească ritmul în orice moment.

“Dragă copilă” nu este un thriller horror precum “Tăcerea mieilor”, deși uneori încearcă să semene cu el prin subsolurile, răpirile și altele asemenea. Este mai degrabă un thriller cu nuanțe sociale, în care anchetatorii și emoțiile au multe de spus. Este un thriller foarte uman, care face apel la emoții, dar nu se lasă consumat de ele. Această combinație îi conferă o personalitate proprie și o narațiune unică, interesantă și solidă.

Un caz teribil, cu servicii sociale, anchetatori și anturajul care încearcă să rezolve un caz aparent simplu în primele scene. Dar intriga se complică și nimic nu este ceea ce pare. Serialul se adâncește într-un joc de identități, trecut și prezent, care, împletit cu amintiri, creează o intrigă polițienească bine pusă la punct.

În plus, serialul ne permite să ne adâncim în personaje. Nu este un thriller în stil hollywoodian care ne duce de la o surpriză la alta fără răgaz. Oferă un spațiu narativ de reflecție, știe să facă pauze și se comportă uneori ca un film de televiziune, pentru ca apoi să revină la aspectul său de thriller mai întunecat și mai macabru.

“Dragă copilă” este o surpriză care a sosit fără avertisment, fără să facă prea mult zgomot, dar este o miniserie care își va găsi cu siguranță locul printre fanii thrillerelor bune.
