“Five Nights at Freddy’s” (2023) – Movie Review: A slasher for (almost) all audiences

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a movie directed by Emma Tammi starring Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, and Elizabeth Lail. Based on a video-game by Scott Cawthon.

As we can see in “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, there are options for everyone, and the combination of genres offers, although it may not always seem like it, almost infinite combinations that never cease to surprise us. This time we have come across this horror movie which, based on its script, should have been a blood-soaked slasher but turned out to be a “family-friendly” film that, to be honest, won’t be the go-to choice for any avid fan of raw cinema.

However, cinematically speaking, it is very well-crafted and showcases impressive shots, atmosphere, and framing.

Plot

A boy who suffers from insomnia and is responsible for his sister has to take care of an old pizzeria that is already closed. There, he discovers mysterious robots that mysteriously come to life and start to murder everything that moves.

Movie Review

We don’t believe that it will be a hit or precisely the film of the year among genre fans, but it is a very well-crafted movie, and scene by scene, it is worth it: it is well-shot and respects the creators’ essence. Additionally, it introduces dreamlike visions and treats the story with respect.

What we can see is done well, and “Five Nights at Freddy’s” precisely suffers from what we don’t see: a horror movie that cuts the bloody scenes and doesn’t let us see them when, precisely, that is what the audience came to see (because, let’s be honest, horror movies – especially slashers – don’t offer much in terms of plot).

The horror scenes are well-shot, but excessive child-friendly elements lead the script to play with simplified characters and not create complex or interesting ones.

Our Opinion

Unfortunately, despite its quality, this movie doesn’t give the audience what they want and falls into uncertainty when it comes to its adult rating at the theater.

There are movies that, due to their plot, are not suitable for children.

We also don’t ask that other children’s movies be made for adults.

Five Nights at Freddy’s es una película dirigida por Emma Tammi y protagonizada por Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio y Elizabeth Lail. Basada en un videojuego de Scott Cawthon.

Como podemos ver en “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, hay opciones para todo y la combinación entre géneros ofrece, aunque no siempre lo parezca, combinaciones casi infinitas que no dejan de sorprendernos. En esta ocasión nos ha tocado esta película de terror que, por guion debería haber sido un slasher con mucha sangre, pero que ha salido esta película “family friendly” que, por ser sinceros, no va a ser la cinta de cabecera de ningún aficionado al cine bruto.

Eso sí, cinematográficamente esta muy cuidada y posee buenos planos, ambientación y encuadres.

Argumento

Un chico que padece de insomnio y tiene a su hermana a su cargo tiene que hacerse cargo de una antigua pizzería, ya clausurada. Allí descubre a unos misteriosos robots que parecen cobrar misteriosamente vida y asesinar a todo cuanto se mueve.

Crítica de la película

No creemos que vaya a ser un éxito ni preciasamente la película del año entre los fans del género, pero es una cinta muy cuidada y, escena por escena, merece la pena: está muy bien rodada y respeta la esencia de los creadores. Además, introduce visiones oníricas y toma con respeto la historia.

Lo que podemos ver, está bien, y el problema de “Five Nights at Freddy’s” está, precisamente, en lo que no vemos: una película de miedo que corta las escenas sangrientas y que no nos las deja ver cuando, precisamente, es lo que ha venido a ver el público (porque, seamos sinceros, las cintas de miedo -y más en concreto las slasher- no dan mucho juego en cuanto a guion).

Las escenas de miedo están bien rodadas, pero la infantilización excesiva lleva al guion (también) a jugar con la simplificación de los personajes y a no crear personajes ni complejos ni interesantes.

Nuestra Opinión

Una película que, por desgracia y a pesar de su calidad, no da al público lo que quiere, y transita entre el miedo a arriesgarse en a su calificación para adultos en su estreno en las salas de cine.

Hay películas que, por argumento, no son para niños.

Tampoco pedimos que otras pelis de niños sean, también, para mayores.

Five Nights at Freddy’s est un film réalisé par Emma Tammi avec Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio, et Elizabeth Lail. Basé sur un jeu vidéo de Scott Cawthon.

Comme nous pouvons le voir dans “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, il y a des options pour tous les goûts et la combinaison de genres offre, bien que cela ne semble pas toujours évident, des combinaisons presque infinies qui ne cessent de nous surprendre. Cette fois-ci, nous avons eu droit à ce film d’horreur qui aurait dû être un slasher sanglant sur le papier, mais qui est finalement devenu un film “tout public”, qui, soyons honnêtes, ne deviendra pas le film de référence pour les amateurs de films brutaux.

Cependant, sur le plan cinématographique, il est très soigné et présente de bons plans, une atmosphère réussie et des cadrages intéressants.

Synopsis

Un garçon souffrant d’insomnie et ayant la responsabilité de sa sœur doit gérer une ancienne pizzeria, désormais fermée. Là-bas, il découvre des robots mystérieux qui semblent mystérieusement prendre vie et tuer tout ce qui bouge.

Critique du film

Nous ne pensons pas que cela va être un succès ni nécessairement le film de l’année chez les fans du genre, mais c’est un film très soigné qui mérite d’être vu scène par scène : il est bien réalisé et respecte l’essence des créateurs. De plus, il introduit des visions oniriques et aborde l’histoire avec respect.

Ce que nous pouvons voir est bien, et le problème de “Five Nights at Freddy’s” réside précisément dans ce que nous ne voyons pas : un film d’horreur qui coupe les scènes sanglantes et ne nous permet pas de les voir alors que c’est précisément ce que le public est venu chercher (parce que soyons honnêtes, les films d’horreur, et surtout les slashers, n’offrent pas beaucoup de possibilités en termes d’histoire).

Les scènes d’horreur sont bien réalisées, mais l’infantilisation excessive conduit également le scénario à jouer avec la simplification des personnages et à ne pas créer de personnages complexes ou intéressants.

Notre avis

Un film qui, malheureusement et malgré sa qualité, ne donne pas au public ce qu’il veut, et qui oscille entre la peur de prendre des risques en optant pour une classification pour adultes lors de sa sortie en salles de cinéma.

Il y a des films qui, en raison de leur scénario, ne sont pas destinés aux enfants.

Nous ne demandons pas non plus que d’autres films pour enfants soient également destinés aux adultes.

“프레디의 피자가게”에서 확인할 수 있듯이, 모든 선택지가 있으며 장르 간의 조합은 우리에게 거의 무한한 조합을 제공하지만 항상 그렇지는 않습니다. 이번에는 우리가 테러 영화 중 이 작품을 갖게 되었는데, 대량 영화 사랑자의 주 영화로 제작되지는 않았습니다.

그렇지만 시각적으로 매우 엄중하게 촬영되었으며 좋은 샷, 분위기 및 촬영 기법을 갖고 있습니다.

줄거리

「ファイブ・ナイツ・アット・フレディーズ」は、エマ・タミーの監督し、ジョシュ・ハッチャーソン、パイパー・ルビオ、エリザベス・レイルが出演する映画です。Scott Cawthonのビデオゲームを基にしています。

「ファイブ・ナイツ・アット・フレディーズ」では、選択肢が豊富で、ジャンルの組み合わせがほとんど無限であることがわかります。この映画のホラー要素は、常に明確ではありませんが、驚かされる無数の組み合わせがあります。今回は、このホラー映画に当たりましたが、脚本通りに行けば、血まみれのスラッシャー映画になるはずでしたが、正直言って、映画ファンの誰のお気に入りにはならない「ファミリーフレンドリー」な作品になっています。

しかしながら、映像的には非常にきちんとしており、優れたショット、雰囲気、フレームが見受けられます。

Five Nights at Freddy’s este un film regizat de Emma Tammi, cu Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio și Elizabeth Lail. Bazat pe un joc video realizat de Scott Cawthon.

Așa cum putem observa în “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, există opțiuni pentru toate gusturile și combinația între genuri oferă, deși nu pare întotdeauna astfel, combinații aproape infinite care nu încetează să ne surprindă. În această ocazie, avem parte de un film de groază care, în mod teoretic, trebuia să fie un slasher cu mult sânge, dar care a rezultat în acest film “family friendly” care, să fim sinceri, nu va fi filmul preferat al niciunui pasionat de filme brutale.

Cu toate acestea, din punct de vedere cinematografic, filmul este bine realizat, având cadre și atmosferă de calitate.

Povestea

Un băiat care suferă de insomnie și are grijă de sora sa este nevoit să se ocupe de o veche pizzerie, care a fost închisă. Acolo, descoperă niște roboți misterioși care par să prindă viață în mod misterios și să omoare tot ce mișcă.

Recenzia filmului

Nu credem că va fi un succes sau că va fi considerat filmul anului printre fanii genului, dar este un film bine realizat și merită atenția fiecărei scene în parte: este foarte bine filmat și respectă esența creatorilor. În plus, introduce viziuni onirice și tratează subiectul cu respect.

Ceea ce putem vedea, este bine, iar problema “Five Nights at Freddy’s” se găsește, de fapt, în ceea ce nu vedem: un film de groază care taie scenele sângeroase și nu le arată spectatorilor când, în mod paradoxal, asta era motivul principal pentru care aceștia au venit să-l vadă (pentru că, să fim sinceri, filmele de groază – în special cele de tip slasher – nu oferă prea multă substanță în ceea ce privește scenariul).

Scenele de groază sunt bine realizate, însă infantilizarea excesivă face ca scenariul să simplifice și personajele și să nu creeze personaje complexe sau interesante.

Opinia noastră

Un film care, din păcate, și în ciuda calității sale, nu oferă publicului ceea ce își dorește și oscilează între teama de a riscă și de a fi clasificat pentru adulți în cinematografe.

Există filme care, prin poveste, nu sunt destinate copiilor.

Dar nu cerem ca alte filme pentru copii să fie, de asemenea, pentru adulți.

Five Nights at Freddy’s ist ein Film unter der Regie von Emma Tammi mit Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio und Elizabeth Lail in den Hauptrollen. Basierend auf einem Videospiel von Scott Cawthon.

In “Five Nights at Freddy’s” sehen wir, dass es für jeden etwas gibt und die Kombination verschiedener Genres eine nahezu unendliche Vielfalt bietet, die uns immer wieder überrascht. Diesmal haben wir es mit einem Horrorfilm zu tun, der zwar aufgrund des Drehbuchs ein blutiger Slasher hätte sein sollen, aber stattdessen ist dieser Film “familienfreundlich” geworden, der ehrlich gesagt kein Highlight für Fans von brutalen Filmen sein wird.

Trotzdem ist die filmische Umsetzung sehr gelungen mit guten Kameraeinstellungen, Atmosphäre und Bildkompositionen.

Handlung

Ein Junge mit Schlaflosigkeit ist für seine Schwester verantwortlich und muss sich um eine alte, geschlossene Pizzeria kümmern. Dort entdeckt er mysteriöse Roboter, die seltsamerweise zum Leben zu erwachen scheinen und alles umbringen, was sich bewegt.

Filmkritik

Wir glauben nicht, dass es ein Erfolg oder geradezu der Film des Jahres unter den Fans des Genres sein wird, aber er ist sehr sorgfältig gemacht und es lohnt sich, Szene für Szene anzusehen: Die Umsetzung ist gelungen und respektiert die Essenz der Schöpfer. Außerdem werden traumhafte Visionen eingeführt und die Geschichte wird respektvoll behandelt.

Was wir sehen können, ist gut gemacht, und das Problem von “Five Nights at Freddy’s” liegt genau darin, was wir nicht sehen: Ein Horrorfilm, der blutige Szenen ausschneidet und sie uns nicht zeigt, obwohl dies genau das ist, was das Publikum sehen möchte (weil seien wir ehrlich, Horrorfilme – insbesondere Slasher-Filme – haben in Bezug auf die Handlung nicht viel zu bieten).

Die Horrorszenen sind gut gemacht, aber die übermäßige Verkindlichung führt dazu, dass das Drehbuch auch mit der Vereinfachung der Charaktere spielt und keine komplexen oder interessanten Figuren schafft.

Unsere Meinung

Ein Film, der leider trotz seiner Qualität dem Publikum nicht das gibt, was es möchte, und zwischen der Angst vor einer FSK-Einstufung und dem Risiko pendelt, bei seinem Kinostart keine erwachsenen Zuschauer anzusprechen.

Es gibt Filme, die aufgrund ihrer Handlung nicht für Kinder geeignet sind.

Wir verlangen auch nicht, dass andere Kinderfilme auch für Erwachsene geeignet sein sollen.

Five Nights at Freddy’s è un film diretto da Emma Tammi con Josh Hutcherson, Piper Rubio e Elizabeth Lail. Basato su un videogioco di Scott Cawthon.

Come possiamo vedere in “Five Nights at Freddy’s”, ci sono opzioni per tutti e la combinazione di generi offre, anche se non sembra sempre così, combinazioni quasi infinite che non smettono di sorprenderci. In questa occasione ci è capitato questo film horror, che, a livello di sceneggiatura, avrebbe dovuto essere uno slasher molto sanguinolento, ma invece è uscito questo film “per tutta la famiglia” che, diciamoci la verità, non sarà il film preferito di nessun appassionato del cinema brutale.

Tuttavia, cinematograficamente è molto curato e presenta belle inquadrature, ambientazione e composizione delle scene.

Trama

Un ragazzo affetto da insonnia e con il compito di prendersi cura della sorella si trova a dover gestire una vecchia pizzeria, ormai chiusa. Lì scopre dei misteriosi robot che sembrano magicamente prendere vita ed uccidere tutto ciò che si muove.

Recensione del film

Non pensiamo che sarà un successo né precisamente il film dell’anno tra i fan del genere, ma è un film molto curato e, scena dopo scena, merita: è girato molto bene e rispetta l’essenza degli autori. Inoltre, introduce visioni oniriche e tratta con rispetto la trama.

Ciò che possiamo vedere è buono e il problema di “Five Nights at Freddy’s” sta, appunto, in ciò che non vediamo: un film horror che taglia le scene sanguinolente e non ci permette di vederle quando, appunto, è ciò che il pubblico è venuto a vedere (perché, diciamocelo, i film horror, e in particolare gli slasher, non offrono molto dal punto di vista della trama).

Le scene di paura sono girate bene, ma l’eccessiva infantilizzazione porta la sceneggiatura (anche) a giocare sulla semplificazione dei personaggi, senza creare personaggi né complessi né interessanti.

La nostra opinione

Un film che, sfortunatamente e nonostante la sua qualità, non dà al pubblico ciò che desidera, e si muove tra la paura di rischiare con la sua classificazione per adulti al momento dell’uscita nelle sale cinematografiche.

Ci sono film che, a causa della trama, non sono adatti ai bambini.

Non chiediamo nemmeno che altri film per bambini siano adatti anche ai adulti.
