“Mech Cadets” is an animated action-adventure series based on the graphic novels of the same name by Greg Pak and Takeshi Miyazawa.
It follows Stanford Yu, a teenage janitor at Sky Corps Military Academy who dreams of becoming a pilot for one of the Robo Mechs, giant robots from outer space who came to Earth’s aid following an attack by an alien species. When Stanford is chosen to be a Mech Cadet, he must put aside his differences with his classmates and work together as a team in order to defend humanity against a new invasion of aliens. Along the way, he learns the true meaning of courage, friendship, and teamwork.
The series features the voices of Aparna Brielle, Scott Whyte, Josh Sundquist, Daniel Dae Kim, and Ming-Na Wen. It premiered on Netflix on August 10, 2023.
