The Changeling is a multi-genre series created by Kelly Marcel, directed by Melina Matsoukas, and stars LaKeith Stanfield, Adina Porter, Clark Backo, Samuel T. Herring. It is based on the novel by Victor LaValle.

“The Changeling” is a fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed. Its starts in 2010, in a library where Emma and Apollo meet, and that is the start of a love story that will push them into new realms.

About the series

The Changeling has just premiered on Apple TV+, offering us the first three episodes. The most striking in this first batch of episodes are the performances, LaKeith Stanfeld as Apollo, Samuel T. Herring plays a strange but nice character convincingly, and Clark Backo, as well as Adina Porter.

While it might be too early to tell if the series will leave an everlasting impact on us, but so far its aesthetics are really very good, also the story is multi-faceted, jumps in time – which I suspect will come full circle, and give us an understanding how it all fits together once we have seen more episodes – with curious characters.

À propos de la série

The Changeling vient de débarquer sur Apple TV+, nous offrant les trois premiers épisodes. Le plus frappant dans ce premier lot d’épisodes sont les performances, LaKeith Stanfeld dans le rôle d’Apollo, Samuel T. Herring qui joue un personnage étrange mais sympathique de manière convaincante, et Clark Backo, ainsi qu’Adina Porter.

Il est peut-être trop tôt pour dire si la série laissera un impact durable sur nous, mais jusqu’à présent, son esthétique est vraiment très bonne, et l’histoire comporte de multiples facettes, des sauts dans le temps – qui, j’imagine, se refermeront et nous permettront de comprendre comment tout cela s’imbrique une fois que nous aurons vu plus d’épisodes – et des personnages curieux.

About the series

Ciò che colpisce di più in questa prima serie di episodi sono le interpretazioni, LaKeith Stanfeld nel ruolo di Apollo, Samuel T. Herring che interpreta un personaggio strano ma simpatico in modo convincente, e Clark Backo, oltre ad Adina Porter.

Sebbene sia troppo presto per dire se la serie lascerà un impatto eterno su di noi, per ora la sua estetica è davvero molto buona, inoltre la storia è sfaccettata, con salti nel tempo – che sospetto si chiuderanno a cerchio, e ci faranno capire come tutto si incastra una volta visti altri episodi – e con personaggi curiosi.

Herring interpretează un personaj ciudat, dar simpatic și convingător, Clark Backo, precum și Adina Porter.

Deși poate că este prea devreme pentru a spune dacă serialul va lăsa un impact veșnic asupra noastră, dar până acum estetica sa este foarte bună, de asemenea povestea are mai multe fațete, salturi în timp – ceea ce bănuiesc că se va încheia și ne va da o înțelegere a modului în care totul se potrivește odată ce vom vedea mai multe episoade – cu personaje curioase.
