The Perfect Find is a film directed by Numa Perrier starring Gabrielle Union and Keith Powers. Based on the novel by Tia Williams.

It’s Friday, the perfect day for a romantic comedy with enough arguments to enchant the most sensitive hearts and also with enough tests to scare away (definitely) those who are looking for something more in cinema.

Another romantic comedy? Yes, but this one has its very funny moments and, despite the formula, manages to entertain thanks to the brilliant and inspired performances of its supporting characters.

Alisha Hinds and Gina Torres are spectacular and add the finishing touch to this romantic comedy that, this time, really is a comedy.

About the Movie

Don’t expect this combination to revolutionize cinema, because it definitely won’t. It’s a story about romance between generations (she’s 40, he just finished college), a portrait of success in a city that lives for success (New York), and in a comedy that is saved by the eccentric points that are granted, more than successfully.

Romantic comedy is a genre that is as simple as it is difficult: it’s simple insofar as the main lines are well defined, and the product (it can’t be called anything else) comes pre-packaged. But also, due to its limitations, you have to know how to come up with that “something more” that doesn’t make the viewer change channels or simply press Stop in this streaming world.

“The Perfect Find” achieves this with agile dialogues that, without abandoning the light tone that supports it, manage to keep the viewer interested with good performances and sometimes extravagant situations, but always balanced within a script that, in the end, doesn’t pretend to escape from the own horizon of events of romantic comedy. It manages to stay there, with the interest alive, without fully entering into the clichés, aware of the inherent gravity of the genre and the impossibility of, in the end, doing anything else.

Our Opinion

Good performances in a genre that is saved by the performances. A romantic comedy that is saved from the bonfire and manages to give us some funny moments. Always within the limitations of a genre that is born limited.

Storyline

After a high-profile firing, Jenna’s fashion career comeback hits a snag when she falls for a charming, much younger coworker — who happens to be her boss’s son. As sparks fly, Jenna must decide if she’ll risk it all on a secret romance.

Erwarten Sie nicht, dass diese Kombination das Kino revolutionieren wird, denn das wird definitiv nicht der Fall sein. Es ist eine Geschichte über die Liebe zwischen Generationen (sie ist 40, er hat gerade erst sein Studium abgeschlossen), ein Porträt des Erfolgs in einer Stadt, die für den Erfolg lebt (New York) und in einer Komödie, die durch ihre exzentrischen Punkte gerettet wird, die auf mehr als nur eine Weise passend sind.

Die romantische Komödie ist ein Genre, das so einfach wie schwierig ist: Es ist einfach, solange die Hauptlinien gut definiert sind und das Produkt (man kann es nicht anders nennen) bereits verpackt ist. Es ist aber auch notwendig zu wissen, wie dieses “Mehr” aufgrund seiner Restriktionen gefunden werden kann, das der Nutzer nicht auswählt oder einfach zur Haltestelle in dieser Streaming-Welt zurückkehrt.

The Perfect Find schafft einen flüssigen Dialog, der trotz des leichten Tons, den er verwendet, nicht immer von guten Leistungen und manchmal extravaganten, aber immer ausgewogenen Situationen in einem Raum begleitet wird, der am Ende nicht einmal versucht, den ursprünglichen Horizont der romantischen Komödie zu erreichen. Es schafft es, dort zu bleiben, mit lebendigem Interesse, ohne jemals vollständig in die Klischees einzudringen, bewusst über die unhärente Schwere des Genres und die Unmöglichkeit, im Grunde genommen etwas anderes zu tun.

Unsere Meinung:

Gute Darstellungen in einem Genre, das durch die Darstellungen gerettet wird. Eine romantische Stimmung, die sich aus der Konfrontation ergibt und uns ein paar schöne Momente beschert. Immer innerhalb der Grenzen eines begrenzten Genres, das von vornherein begrenzt ist.

The Perfect Find – Tutto è davvero possibile è un film diretto da Numa Perrier con Gabrielle Union e Keith Powers. Tratto dal romanzo di Tia Williams.

È venerdì, il giorno perfetto per una commedia romantica con abbastanza argomenti per incantare i cuori più sensibili e, allo stesso tempo, con prove sufficienti per spaventare (definitivamente) coloro che cercano qualcosa di più al cinema.

Un’altra commedia romantica? Sì, ma questa ha i suoi momenti molto divertenti e, nonostante la formula, riesce ad intrattenere grazie alle brillanti e ispirate interpretazioni dei suoi personaggi secondari. Alisha Hinds e Gina Torres sono spettacolari e danno la ciliegina sulla torta a questa commedia romantica che, questa volta, è davvero una commedia.

Non aspettatevi che questa combinazione rivoluzionerà il cinema, perché non sarà certo così. È una storia d’amore tra generazioni (lui ha 40 anni, lui ha appena finito l’università), una storia di successo in una città che vive per il successo (New York) e in una commedia che si salva per i punti eccentrici che si concede, in modo più che imbarazzante.

La commedia romantica è un genere semplice e difficile allo stesso tempo: è semplice in quanto le linee guida sono ben definite e il prodotto (non può chiamarsi in altro modo) è preconcetto. Ma anche, e proprio per i suoi limiti, bisogna saper trovare quel “qualcos’altro” che non faccia cambiare canale allo spettatore o, più semplicemente, lo faccia aspettare una fermata in questo mondo di streaming.

Il Trovato Perfetto è reso possibile grazie a dialoghi taglienti che, senza abbandonare il tono leggero che lo sostiene, sono ben calibrati. Ci riesce con buone interpretazioni e con situazioni a volte stravaganti, ma sempre equilibrate all’interno di una sceneggiatura che, in fondo, non cerca di sfuggire all’orizzonte proprio degli eventi della commedia romantica. Rischia di rimanere lì, con un interesse vivo, senza mai cadere completamente in luoghi comuni, consapevole della gravità intrinseca del genere e dell’impossibilità di fare altro.

Il nostro parere

Buone interpretazioni in un genere che viene salvato dalle interpretazioni. Una commedia romantica che si salva dalla bruciatura e riesce a darci alcuni momenti divertenti. Sempre all’interno, sempre all’interno, di ciò che è limitato di un genere che nasce limitato.

Cum este vineri, este ziua perfectă pentru a viziona o comedie romantică care are suficiente argumente pentru a fermeca și cele mai sensibile inimi și suficiente teste pentru a-i speria pe cei care caută ceva mai mult în cinematografie.

Deși respectă o formulă, “The Perfect Find” reușește să distreze publicul cu personajele sale secundare geniale și inspirate. Alisha Hinds și Gina Torres sunt spectaculoase, punând cireașa de pe tort acestei comedii romantice care, de data aceasta, este într-adevăr o comedie.

Filmul este despre o poveste de dragoste între două generații diferite – ea are 40 de ani, iar el tocmai a terminat facultatea. Intriga este plasată în New York, unde succesul este totul. Această comedie romantică nu va revoluționa cinematografia, dar este o poveste bine livrată, care are puncte excentrice care o salvează de la mediocritate.

Comedia romantică este un gen care este deopotrivă simplu și dificil. Este simplu pentru că liniile principale sunt bine definite, iar produsul vine preambalat. În opinia noastră, “The Perfect Find” are interpretări bune, ceea ce salvează genul comediei romantice. Este un film care reușește să evite capcanele genului și să ofere câteva momente distractive. Este limitat de limitele inerente ale genului, dar rămâne în aceste limite și oferă o poveste bine executată.
