Movie Review

If James Wan revolutionized this contradictory genre of horror in a certain way, “Insidious: The Red Door” is not here to revolutionize it, but to offer us a good example of the genre, well shot with decent photography, but it fails to surprise (we didn’t expect it to either) like the first film in the saga did.

Here we have a father-son story that, sharing DNA and artistic and tormented spirit, brings us this ghostly chapter that strives to repeat past successes by reusing learned formulas.

“Insidious: The Red Door” is not a disappointment per se, but it is also not a great surprise, as this fifth chapter of the saga is characterized by its classic narrative, with a balanced development of the story, and, in between, what should give the film its impact: the scares.

Unfortunately, they don’t achieve the aimed for impact, except for once or twice, at most. Perhaps, because we have already seen too many “classic” horror films, or because after a slow and deliberate scene, there is almost always that terrifying impact that is unforgettable and leaves us breathless for a few seconds and our eyes fixated on that memory.

This film fails to leave a mark, both visually and narratively, remaining as a run of the mill well-made horror film, with identical strikes of effect in an installment that, while it might have intended to, did not manage to surprise us at all.

Our Opinion

One that is forgotten before it even begins. It fails to leave us with that “Inception” idea or, unfortunately, leave us wanting to recommend it to friends.

Critique du Film

Si James Wan a révolutionné en quelque sorte ce genre contradictoire de l’horreur, “Insidious : The Red Door” n’est pas là pour le révolutionner, mais plutôt pour nous offrir un bon exemple du genre, bien réalisé et correct, mais qui ne parvient pas à surprendre (ce n’était pas non plus attendu) comme l’a fait le premier opus de la saga.

Nous avons ici une histoire père-fils qui, partageant un ADN et un esprit artistique tourmenté, vivent ce nouveau chapitre fantomatique avec la volonté de répéter les succès passés en répétant également les formules déjà apprises.

“Insidious : The Red Door” n’est pas une déception, mais ce n’est pas non plus une grande surprise, et ce cinquième volet de la saga se distingue par sa narration classique, son développement équilibré de l’histoire et, entre les deux, ce qui devrait donner tout l’impact au film : les frissons.

Malheureusement, ils ne parviennent pas à avoir l’impact recherché, sauf peut-être un ou deux. Peut-être parce que nous avons déjà vu trop de films d’horreur “classiques” ou parce qu’après une scène lente et calme, vient presque toujours ce choc terrifiant qui ne s’oublie pas et laisse nos cœurs sans respiration pendant quelques secondes et notre rétine ancrée dans ce souvenir.

Ce film ne parvient pas à laisser cet impact, que ce soit visuellement ou narrativement, se contentant d’un film d’horreur bien fait, mais avec des arguments identiques dans une suite qui, sans prétendre surprendre non plus, ne nous a pas du tout surpris.

Un film qu’on oublie avant même de commencer. Il ne parvient pas à nous laisser cette idée à la manière d'”Inception” et ne nous donne malheureusement pas envie de le recommander à nos amis.

Handlung

Wenn James Wan dieses widersprüchliche Horrorgenre in gewisser Weise revolutioniert hat, so ist “Insidious: The Red Doo” nicht hier, um es zu revolutionieren, sondern um uns eine solide Genreprobe zu bieten, die gut inszeniert ist, aber nicht überrascht (wir haben es auch nicht erwartet), wie es der erste Teil der Saga getan hat.

Hier haben wir eine Vater-Sohn-Geschichte, die durch gemeinsame DNA und künstlerischen Geist geprägt ist und dieses neue Geisterkapitel mit dem Wunsch erlebt, vergangene Erfolge durch das Wiederholen von bereits gelernten Formeln zu wiederholen.wobei das, was dem Film den größten Einfluss verleihen sollte, die Schockmomente, leider nicht den gewünschten Effekt erzielt.

Leider erzeugen sie nicht den beabsichtigten Schock, abgesehen von ein oder zwei Momenten. Vielleicht haben wir schon zu viele “klassische” Horrorfilme gesehen, oder weil dieser Schockmoment nach einer langen und ruhigen Zeit immer derjenige ist, der uns das Fürchten lehrt und unsere Angst vor diesem Schicksal.
Dieser Film schafft es nicht, diesen Eindruck, weder visuell noch erzählerisch, zu hinterlassen und bleibt ein gut gemachter Horrorfilm mit identischen Handlungssträngen in einer Fortsetzung, die zwar auch nicht überraschen will, uns jedoch überhaupt nicht überrascht hat.

Unsere Meinung

Ein Film, den man schnell vergisst. Er schafft es nicht, uns mit einem “Inception”-ähnlichen Gedanken zurückzulassen oder uns leider dazu zu bringen, ihn Freunden zu empfehlen.

Recensione del Film

Se James Wan ha rivoluzionato in certo senso questo genere contraddittorio dell’horror, “Insidious – La porta rossa” non è qui per rivoluzionarlo, ma per offrirci una buona rappresentazione del genere, ben girato e corretto, ma che non riesce a sorprendere (non ci aspettavamo nemmeno che lo facesse) come ha fatto il primo della serie.

Qui abbiamo una storia padre-figlio che, condividendo DNA e spirito artistico e tormentato, vivono questo nuovo capitolo spettrale con la volontà di ripetere i successi passati basandosi su formule già imparate.

“Insidious – La porta rossa” non è una delusione, ma nemmeno una grande sorpresa, e questo quinto capitolo della serie si caratterizza per la sua narrazione classica, lo sviluppo equilibrato della storia e, nel mezzo, ciò che dovrebbe dare tutto l’impatto al film: gli spaventi.

Purtroppo, non riescono a ottenere l’impatto desiderato, tranne uno o due. Forse perché abbiamo già visto troppe “classiche” pellicole dell’orrore o perché dopo una scena lenta e pausata arriva quasi sempre quell’impatto terrificante che non si dimentica e che lascia i nostri cuori senza respiro per alcuni istanti e la nostra retina ancorata a quel ricordo.

Questo film non riesce a lasciare quell’impatto, né a livello visivo né narrativo, rimanendo un film horror ben realizzato, ma con gli stessi argomenti in un capitolo che, senza voler sorprendere nemmeno, non è riuscito a sorprenderci affatto.

La nostra Opinione

Uno di quelli che si dimenticano prima ancora di iniziare. Non riesce a lasciarci con quella sensazione alla “Inception” né ci lascia, sfortunatamente, il desiderio di raccomandarlo agli amici.

Avem aici o poveste tată-fiu care, împărtășind ADN-ul și chinul artistic, trăiește acest nou capitol fantomatic cu dorința de a replica succesele din trecut, bazându-se pe formule familiare.

“Insidious: Ușa roșie” nu este o dezamăgire, dar nici o mare surpriză, iar acest al cincilea episod al francizei se caracterizează prin narațiunea clasică și dezvoltarea echilibrată a poveștii, spaimele fiind elementele care ar trebui să aibă cel mai mare impact asupra filmului.

Din păcate, acestea nu reușesc să obțină impactul dorit, cu excepția unuia sau două cazuri. Poate pentru că am văzut deja prea multe filme de groază “clasice” sau pentru că, după o scenă lentă și deliberată, urmează aproape întotdeauna impactul terifiant care ne lasă inima fără suflare pentru câteva secunde și ochii fixați pe acea amintire.

Acest film nu reușește să lase acel impact, atât vizual, cât și narativ, fiind un film de groază bine lucrat, dar cu argumente identice într-o parte care, fără să își propună să surprindă niciuna dintre ele, nu reușește în cele din urmă să ne surprindă deloc.

Opinia noastră

Este de neuitat încă de la început. Nu reușește să ne lase cu acel nivel de intrigă de la “Inception” și nici nu ne lasă cu dorința de a-l recomanda prietenilor.

ジェームズ・ワンがある意味でこの矛盾したホラーというジャンルに革命を起こしたのだとしたら、『Insidious: The Red Door』は革命を起こすためではなく、むしろこのジャンルの良い見本であり、よく撮れていてまともだが、サーガの1作目のような驚きを与えることはできなかった（私たちも期待していなかった）。

DNAを共有し、芸術的で苦悩に満ちた精神を持つ父と子の物語が、すでに学んだ定型に頼ることで過去の成功を繰り返そうとする欲望とともに、この幽霊のような新章を体験するのだ。

『Insidious: The Red Door』は期待外れではないが、大きな驚きでもない。このサーガ第5弾の特徴は、古典的な物語、バランスの取れたストーリー展開、そしてその間にある、この映画にインパクトを与えるべきもの、恐怖である。

残念なことに、1つか2つを除いて、期待されたインパクトは得られなかった。おそらく、私たちはすでに多くの「古典的な」ホラー映画を見てきたためか、あるいは、じっくりとしたシーンの後には、ほとんどの場合、忘れがたい恐怖の衝撃があり、数秒間私たちの心を息もつかせず、その記憶に目を凝らすからだろう。

시작하기도 전에 잊혀진 영화. “인셉션”과 같은 생각을 남기지 못하거나 안타깝게도 친구에게 추천하고 싶은 욕구를 남기지 못합니다.
