A Quick Review

If you are into Agatha Christie, and however many film and series adaptations of her novels have been produced over time, I recommend this movie.

It follows close to the exact same patterns, and production style as A Knives Out Mystery (2019); a contemporary multi-character murder mystery that pokes fun at every single one of them, except for the most likeable and saintly of them all. The director, José Manuel Cravioto, has managed to render this intriguing whodunnit story rather well, and directed an entertaining number. It is well edited, and counts on a good script and tempo. Although it is not a cinematic masterpiece, it does have its charm.

The characters are amusing, each with their eccentricities and grudges, and are well portrayed by the cast, with that touch of TV film theatricality. The dynamics are sufficiently smooth in their choreography, bringing about the tension required in this genre. All the while, maintaining a biting sense of humor throughout.

With ‘A Deadly Invitation’ you can look forward to a classic murder mystery that allows you to be entertained thanks to its lighthearted tone.

La película sigue a Agatha, una presentadora de un podcast ‘true crime’ que es invitada a una al lujoso yate de su hermana, Olivia, para una escapada de fin de semana junto con un grupo de amigos cercanos a Olivia. Todos desconocen el motivo de la invitación. A medida que los invitados pasan tiempo juntos, las tensiones empiezan a aumentar hasta culminar en… un asesinato.

Si te gusta Agatha Christie, y las incontables adaptaciones cinematográficas de sus novelas que se han producido a lo largo del tiempo, te recomiendo esta película.

Sigue exactamente los mismos patrones y el mismo estilo de producción que Puñales por la espalda (2022): una película de misterio contemporánea que cuenta con múltiples personajes y que los retrata con una ironía desenfada. El director, José Manuel Cravioto, ha sabido plasmar bastante bien esta intrigante historia de misterio, y ha dirigido una cinta entretenida. Está bien montada, y cuenta con un buen guion y ritmo. Aunque no sea una obra maestra del cine, tiene su encanto.

Los personajes son graciosos, cada uno con sus excentricidades y rencores, y están bien representados por el reparto, con ese toque de teatralidad del telefilme. Las dinámicas son suficientemente fluidas en su coreografía, aportando la tensión necesaria en este género. Todo ello manteniendo un mordaz sentido del humor.

Con Invitación a un asesinato puedes esperar una película que sigue una fórmula clásica en el género de misterio y suspense, que te mantendrá entretenido gracias a su tono desenfadado.

Il suit exactement les mêmes modèles et le même style de production que À couteaux tirés (2019) : un film de mystère contemporain qui met en scène de nombreux personnages et les dépeint avec une ironie légère. Le réalisateur, José Manuel Cravioto, a très bien saisi cette histoire mystérieuse et intrigante, et a réalisé un film divertissant. Le film est bien construit, bien scénarisé et bien rythmé. Bien qu’il ne s’agisse pas d’un chef-d’œuvre du cinéma, il a son charme.

Les personnages sont drôles, chacun avec ses excentricités et ses rancunes, et sont bien interprétés par les acteurs, avec cette touche de théâtralité propre aux téléfilms. Les dynamiques sont suffisamment fluides dans leur chorégraphie, apportant la tension nécessaire dans ce genre. Le tout en conservant un sens de l’humour mordant.

Avec Invitation à un assassinat, vous pouvez vous attendre à un film qui suit une formule classique dans le genre mystère et suspense, qui vous divertira grâce à son ton léger.

Se vi piace Agatha Christie e gli innumerevoli adattamenti cinematografici dei suoi romanzi che sono stati prodotti nel corso degli anni, vi consiglio questo film.

Segue esattamente gli stessi schemi e lo stesso stile di produzione di Cena con delitto – Knives Out (2019): un giallo contemporaneo che presenta molteplici personaggi e li ritrae con un’ironia leggera. Il regista, José Manuel Cravioto, ha catturato abbastanza bene questa intrigante storia di mistero e ha diretto un film divertente. È ben assemblato, ben sceneggiato e ben ritmato. Anche se non è un capolavoro del cinema, ha il suo fascino.

I personaggi sono divertenti, ognuno con le proprie eccentricità e rancori, e sono ben recitati dal cast, con quel tocco di teatralità da telefilm. Le dinamiche sono sufficientemente fluide nella loro coreografia, fornendo la tensione necessaria in questo genere. Il tutto mantenendo un graffiante senso dell’umorismo.

Con Invito a un assassinio potete aspettarvi un film che segue una formula classica del genere mystery e suspense, che vi intratterrà grazie al suo tono leggero.

Filmul o urmărește pe Agatha, o prezentatoare de podcasturi despre crime adevărate, care este invitată să se alăture iahtului de lux al surorii sale Olivia pentru o escapadă de weekend cu un grup de prieteni apropiați ai acesteia. Cu toții nu sunt conștienți de motivul invitației. Pe măsură ce oaspeții petrec timp împreună, tensiunile încep să crească, culminând cu… o crimă.

Critica

Dacă vă place Agatha Christie și nenumăratele adaptări cinematografice ale romanelor sale care au fost produse de-a lungul anilor, vă recomand acest film.

Urmează exact aceleași tipare și același stil de producție ca și La cuțite (2019): un film polițist contemporan care prezintă mai multe personaje și le portretizează cu o ironie lejeră. Regizorul, José Manuel Cravioto, a surprins destul de bine această poveste intrigantă de mister și a regizat un film amuzant. Este bine pus la punct, bine scris și bine ritmat. Deși nu este o capodoperă cinematografică, are farmecul său.

Personajele sunt amuzante, fiecare cu propriile excentricități și resentimente, și sunt bine interpretate de distribuție, cu acea notă de teatralitate de telefilm. Dinamica este suficient de fluidă în coregrafia lor, oferind tensiunea necesară în acest gen. Totul păstrând în același timp un simț al umorului mușcător.

Cu Invitație mortală vă puteți aștepta la un film care urmează o formulă clasică în genul mister și suspans, care vă va ține în priză datorită tonului său lejer.

Wenn Sie sich für Agatha Christie und die vielen Verfilmungen ihrer Romane interessieren, die im Laufe der Zeit entstanden sind, empfehle ich Ihnen diesen Film.

Der Film folgt fast genau demselben Muster und Produktionsstil wie “Knives Out – Mord ist Familiensache” (2019): ein zeitgenössischer Krimi mit mehreren Charakteren, der sich über jeden einzelnen von ihnen lustig macht, außer über den sympathischsten und heiligsten von ihnen. Dem Regisseur, José Manuel Cravioto, ist es gelungen, diese faszinierende Whodunnit-Geschichte recht gut umzusetzen und eine unterhaltsame Nummer zu inszenieren. Er ist gut geschnitten und setzt auf ein gutes Drehbuch und Tempo. Obwohl er kein filmisches Meisterwerk ist, hat er doch seinen Reiz.
