Controversial, brave.

This time, Netflix presents us with a comedian who possesses daring and courageous humor, venturing far beyond family-friendly comedy into daring territory, all while avoiding vulgarity.

I’ll confess something: many stand-up comedians leave me somewhat unimpressed, as if they lack that daring risk-taking in their monologues, as if they were more interested in playing it safe than breaking boundaries. This hasn’t been the case with Tom Segura, who has successfully elicited bold laughter from me and prompted that incredible and almost obligatory question we should all ask ourselves when watching stand-up: how did he dare to say that?

A person who, as he tells us, has faced protests against his show in some places: we are glad for that and we celebrate it. A monologue that brings back the freshness of stand-up and shows us why this seemingly ordinary individual manages to captivate thousands of people around the world.

Enjoy it, because it truly is worth it.

Tom Segura aus Phoenix, Arizona, nimmt furchtlos fast alles in Angriff, mit sehr riskanten Witzen, die dank seines Charmes und seines Charakters beim Publikum ankommen und es natürlich für sich gewinnen.

Umstritten, mutig.

Diesmal präsentiert uns Netflix diesen Menschen mit gewagtem und mutigem Humor, der weit über familienfreundliche Comedy hinausgeht und sich in gewagtes Terrain begibt, ohne die Grenze zur Vulgarität zu überschreiten.

Ich muss gestehen, dass mich viele Stand-up-Comedians eher kalt lassen, als ob sie in ihren Monologen nicht so viel wagen würden, als ob es ihnen mehr darum ginge, die Erwartungen zu erfüllen, als den Rahmen zu sprengen. Bei Tom Segura ist mir das nicht passiert. Er hat es geschafft, mir ein kühnes Lachen zu entlocken und die unglaubliche und fast schon obligatorische Frage zu stellen, die wir uns alle stellen sollten, wenn wir Stand-up sehen: Wie hat er es gewagt, das zu sagen?

Ein Mensch, der, wie er uns erzählt, mancherorts mit Protesten gegen seine Show konfrontiert war: Wir freuen uns darüber und feiern ihn. Ein Monolog, der die Frische des Stand-up zurückbringt und uns zeigt, warum dieser scheinbar gewöhnliche Mensch es schafft, Tausende von Menschen auf der ganzen Welt in seinen Bann zu ziehen.

Genießen Sie ihn, denn er ist es wirklich wert.

Da Phoenix, Arizona, Tom Segura affronta senza paura quasi tutto fin dall’inizio, con battute molto audaci che, grazie al suo carisma e al suo carattere, riescono a risuonare con il pubblico e, naturalmente, a conquistarlo.

Controverso, coraggioso.

Questa volta, Netflix ci presenta questo individuo dall’umorismo audace e coraggioso, che si avventura ben oltre la commedia per famiglie in un territorio audace, senza sconfinare nella volgarità.

Confesso una cosa: molti comici stand-up mi lasciano un po’ indifferente, come se mancassero di quel rischio audace nei loro monologhi, come se fossero più interessati a soddisfare le aspettative che a rompere gli schemi. Non è stato il caso di Tom Segura, che è riuscito a suscitare in me una risata audace e quell’incredibile e quasi obbligatoria domanda che tutti dovremmo porci quando guardiamo uno stand-up: come ha osato dirlo?

Una persona che, come ci racconta, in alcuni luoghi ha affrontato proteste contro il suo spettacolo: ne gioiamo e lo celebriamo. Un monologo che ci restituisce la freschezza della stand-up e ci mostra perché questo individuo apparentemente ordinario riesce ad affascinare migliaia di persone in tutto il mondo.

Godetevelo, perché ne vale davvero la pena.

Din Phoenix, Arizona, Tom Segura abordează fără teamă aproape orice de la bun început, cu glume foarte riscante care, datorită farmecului și personalității sale, reușesc să rezoneze cu publicul și, bineînțeles, să îl cucerească.

Controversat, curajos.

De data aceasta, Netflix ne prezintă un comediant care posedă un umor îndrăzneț și curajos, care se aventurează mult dincolo de comedia pentru familii și pătrunde pe un teritoriu îndrăzneț, evitând în același timp vulgaritatea.

Trebuie să mărturisesc ceva: mulți comedianți de stand-up mă lasă oarecum indiferentă, ca și cum le-ar lipsi îndrăzneala și asumarea de riscuri în monologurile lor, ca și cum ar fi mai interesați să bifeze niște căsuțe decât să spargă limite. Nu a fost însă cazul lui Tom Segura, care a reușit să-mi stârnească un râs îndrăzneț și acea întrebare incredibilă și aproape obligatorie pe care ar trebui să ne-o punem cu toții atunci când urmărim stand-up: cum a îndrăznit să spună asta?

Un comediant care, după cum ne spune, s-a confruntat în unele locuri cu proteste împotriva spectacolului său: ne bucurăm de asta și îl sărbătorim. Un monolog care recuperează prospețimea stand-up-ului și ne arată de ce acest tip aparent obișnuit reușește să captiveze mii de oameni din întreaga lume.

Bucurați-vă de el, pentru că merită cu adevărat.
