Stephen Curry, a professional basketball player for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA, is widely recognized as the greatest shooter in the history of the league and one of the all-time greatest players.

Born in Akron, Ohio in 1988, Curry grew up in a basketball-oriented family. His father, Dell Curry, had a successful 16-year career in the NBA, while his mother, Sonya Curry, played college volleyball. Immersed in the sport from an early age, Curry began playing basketball himself.

Curry attended Davidson College in North Carolina, where he played college basketball. During his time there, he achieved All-American status twice and led the Wildcats to the Elite Eight in 2008. Following his sophomore season, Curry declared for the NBA draft.

In 2009, the Warriors selected Curry as the seventh overall pick. He swiftly established himself as one of the league’s premier players, leading the Warriors to their first championship in 40 years in 2015.
