‘Strange Way of Life’ (2023) Almodovar’s Short Film on May 26th

Strange Way of Life is a western directed by Pedro Almodóvar and starring Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke. Preview at the Cannes Film Festival.

The short film was shot in the village built by Sergio Leone to film his dollar trilogy with Clint Eastwood. Almodóvar alludes to Amalia Rodrigues’ fado, which talks about not living with our backs turned to our own desires.
