OneTaste is a wellness company that also focuses on personal growth and pleasure via meditation. The company would organize events (very discrete) where the members would pursue happiness… through the OM (orgasmic meditation).

It turned into something similar to a commune somewhere around San Francisco until… the organization expanded and it became a mass phenomenon.

However, not all that shines is gold.

About the Documentary

Well, a documentary about a company that started by selling pleasure and ended up as it did, with accusations against it aplenty.

It is quite the voyeuristic experience, albeit interesting to see how certain organizations function (or “dysfunction”), and how this particular start-up took off and its founder pushed it to become an global success.

La Industria del Orgasmo: La Historia de OneTaste (Orgasm Inc.: The Story of OneTaste) es un documental dirigido por Sarah Gibson y Sloane Kelvin sobre la empresa OneTaste, tras alcanzar el éxito con la “meditación orgásmica”.

Un documental muy bien llevado que tiene la virtud de no revelarse a sí mismo hasta la mitad, en la que toma cuerpo y va al “meollo”.

Interesante.

Sobre One Taste

OneTaste es una empresa que se basa en la salud, el crecimiento personal y el placer a través de la meditación. Llegaron a organizar eventos (muy discretos) en los que los integrantes de esta gran organización irradiaban su felicidad… a través del OM (orgasmic meditation).

Fuandaron algo así como una comuna en la que vivían en comunidad allá por San Francisco hasta que… se expandió y se convirtió en un fenómeno de masas.

Pero no todo fue tan bonito como parece.

Sobre el Documental

Pues un documental sobre una empresa sobre el placer sexual que comenzó vendiendo placer y terminó… como terminó ante las acusaciones que se cernieron sobre ella.

Muy interesante para ver cómo se comportan ciertas empresas en el campo de las venta, cómo funcionó esta start-up y cómo su fundadora hizo que se convirtiera en todo un fenómenos a nivel mundial.
