“Best. Christmas. Ever!” is a movie directed by Mary lambert, written by Todd Calgi Gallicano and Charles Shyer, and starring Brandy Norwood, Heather Graham, Jason Biggs, and Matt Cedeño.

Do you fancy a really cheesy Christmas movie? Well, here it is! Fresh from the oven, we present “Best. Christmas. Ever!”, promising to delight those with the sweetest and most festive spirits.

In terms of cinematography, storyline, and acting prowess… it falls a bit short.

But you know these holiday productions all come out around Christmas and are barely distinguishable from one another.

Plot

Two childhood friends reunite, almost by chance. One’s life is picture-perfect while the other’s… far from it. They and their partners have to spend Christmas together due to a snowstorm, the perfect excuse to rekindle their undying friendship.

Review of “Best. Christmas. Ever!”

Heather Graham takes the lead role and looks just as stunning as she did twenty years ago, as if time hasn’t touched her. Those are the good news.

The bad news: it’s just another Christmas movie, and those expecting a bittersweet version of “Bad Santa” should look elsewhere because this one has little to offer fans of subtle irony.

If you love Christmas and sing carols at your neighbors’ doors, two things: I hope you don’t know my address, and… you might enjoy this movie (or maybe not).

It’s sugary sweet, with a weak script, filled with forced and somewhat inconsistent situations. You can tell it was quickly filmed in a studio that likely had several shoots that same week, and the actors don’t seem (or don’t do well) to take their characters and dramatic force seriously.

Our Opinion

Merry Christmas. There will be better movies than this one.

“Best. Christmas. Ever!” ist ein Film unter der Regie von Mary lambert, geschrieben von Todd Calgi Gallicano und Charles Shyer, und in den Hauptrollen Brandy Norwood, Heather Graham, Jason Biggs, und Matt Cedeño.

Habt ihr Lust auf einen richtig kitschigen Weihnachtsfilm? Hier ist einer! Frisch aus dem Ofen kommt “Best. Christmas. Ever!”, der die Herzen der süßesten und weihnachtlichsten Geister erfreuen wird.

In puncto Story, schauspielerische Leistung und Interpretation bleibt der Film ein wenig auf der Strecke.

Aber wie wir wissen, sind diese Filme zu Weihnachten kaum voneinander zu unterscheiden.

Handlung

Zwei Kindheitsfreundinnen treffen sich fast zufällig wieder. Das Leben der einen ist perfekt, während das der anderen eher unvollkommen ist. Sie und ihre Partner müssen Weihnachten aufgrund eines Schneesturms zusammen verbringen, die perfekte Ausrede, um ihre nie verlorene Freundschaft wieder aufleben zu lassen.

Kritik zu “Best. Christmas. Ever!”

Die Hauptdarstellerin des Films ist Heather Graham, die genauso hübsch ist wie vor zwanzig Jahren, als wäre die Zeit an ihr spurlos vorübergegangen. Das sind die guten Nachrichten.

Die schlechten: Es ist ein Weihnachtsfilm wie so viele andere, und wer eine bitter-süße Version von “Bad Santa” erwartet, sollte lieber nach einem anderen Film suchen, denn dieser hat den Liebhabern von feiner Ironie wenig zu bieten.

Wenn ihr Weihnachten mögt und vor den Türen eurer Nachbarn Weihnachtslieder singt, zwei Dinge: Ich hoffe, ihr kennt nicht meine Adresse und dieser Film könnte euch gefallen (oder auch nicht).

Er ist zuckersüß, mit einem schwachen Drehbuch, voller erzwungener und etwas inkohärenter Situationen. Man merkt, dass er schnell gedreht wurde und in einem Studio, das höchstwahrscheinlich in derselben Woche mehrere Drehs gehabt hat. Die Schauspieler scheinen (sehr gut gemacht) ihre Charaktere und ihre dramatische Stärke nicht ernst genommen zu haben.

Unsere Meinung

Frohe Weihnachten. Es wird bessere Filme geben als diesen.

Siete pronti per un film natalizio sdolcinato proprio come piace a voi? Ecco appena uscito dal forno “Best. Christmas. Ever!” che promette di deliziare gli animi più zuccherosi e natalizi.

Dal punto di vista cinematografico, trama e interpretazione lasciano a desiderare.

Ma sappiamo bene che questi prodotti arrivano per Natale e sono quasi indistinguibili gli uni dagli altri.

Trama

Due amiche d’infanzia si ritrovano, quasi per caso. La vita di una è perfetta, mentre l’altra è piuttosto imperfetta. Loro e i loro compagni dovranno passare il Natale insieme a causa di una tempesta di neve, la scusa perfetta per ristabilire un’amicizia mai persa.

Recensione di “Best. Christmas. Ever!”

La protagonista del film è Heather Graham, che è ancora bella come vent’anni fa, sembra che il tempo non abbia avuto effetto su di lei. Queste sono le buone notizie.

Le cattive notizie sono che il film natalizio è come tanti altri e chi si aspetta una versione dark di “Bad Santa” dovrà cercare un altro film perché questo ha poco da offrire agli amanti dell’ironia sottile.

Se amate il Natale e cantate carole davanti alle porte dei vicini, due cose: spero che non conosciate il mio indirizzo e… potreste apprezzare questo film (o forse no).

È zuccherino, con una sceneggiatura debole, pieno di situazioni forzate e un po’ incoerenti. Si nota che è stato girato rapidamente e in uno studio che molto probabilmente ha avuto diverse produzioni nello stesso periodo e gli attori sembrano (fanno molto bene) non essersi presi troppo sul serio nei loro personaggi e nella loro forza drammatica.

La nostra opinione

Buon Natale. Ci saranno film migliori di questo.
