Frank Grillo is an American actor best known for his roles in the films Warrior, The Grey, End of Watch, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. He has also starred on television series such as Prison Break, The Shield, and Kingdom.

Grillo was born Frank Anthony Grillo on June 8, 1965 in New York City. He attended Brooklyn Technical High School before studying acting at the Lee Strasberg Institute and Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. Grillo’s first major role came in 2001 when he starred opposite Jennifer Lopez and Vince Vaughn in The Cell.

Throughout his career, Frank Grillo has had numerous supporting roles in both feature films and television series. In 2011 he starred alongside Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton in Warrior as Frank Campana for which he received critical acclaim. Other notable performances include his roles in End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña and Captain America: The Winter Soldier with Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Samuel L. Jackson.

In addition to acting, Frank Grillo is a producer and writer who recently launched a production company called WarParty Films with Joe Carnahan from which they have already produced two films – Stretch starring Patrick Wilson (2014) and Wheelman starring Grillo (2017). He is currently working on projects such as Boss Level (2022), Donnybrook (2018) and Beyond Skyline (2017).

He has appeared in Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard (2021) and A Day to Die (2022), alongside Bruce Willis.
