Liu Kuo-sung: Experimentation as Method is the largest exhibition by a Singapore public museum dedicated to the Chinese ink master, Liu Kuo-sung, which celebrates his artistic career spanning 70 years. The National Gallery Singapore traces master Liu’s creative evolution through more than 60 paintings and 150 items from the artist’s personal archive, highlighting his significant innovations and contributions to the development of modern Chinese ink painting. On view till 26 November 2023.

On 5 August 2023, the National Gallery Singapore will present a special program featuring a conversation between artist Liu Kuo-sung, Professor of Asian Art at Harvard University, Eugene Y. Wang, and Senior Curator Dr Cai Heng; followed by a screening of To the Moon, an essay film directed by Professor Wang on the personal and artistic journey of master Liu.
