‘The Changeling’ | The Novel that Has Inspired the Upcoming Apple TV+ Series

Published in 2017, THE CHANGELING received high praise from USA Today, being referred to as a “bewitching masterpiece. The novel went on to win multiple prestigious awards, including the American Book Award, Locus Award for Best Horror Novel, British Fantasy Award for Best Horror Novel, and World Fantasy Award for Best Novel. Additionally, TIME recognized it as one of the top 100 fantasy books of all time.

Victor LaValle has authored a total of eight works of fiction, including five novels, two novellas, and a collection of short stories. His novels have consistently appeared on esteemed best-of-the-year lists, such as The New York Times Book Review, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, The Nation, and Publishers Weekly. LaValle has received notable accolades throughout his career, including a Guggenheim Fellowship, an American Book Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, and the Key to Southeast Queens. Currently residing in the Bronx with his family, he also serves as a professor at Columbia University.
