Justin Henry Miller: Bone Season. Zg Gallery, Chicago

Lisbeth Thalberg

In addition to Justin’s new paintings is his installation, “Bone Season,” comprised of drawings, wooden sculptures and paint-altered vintage photographs. Miller states, “My latest exhibition, “Bone Season”, is the culmination of work created over the past six years, a time complicated by global upheaval and pandemic fallout. The characters inhabiting these works are the products of that time, stripped to the bone and re-formed out of the detritus.”  Justin Henry Miller received his B.A. from Eastern Illinois University and his M.F.A. from The University of Notre Dame. “Bone Season” is on view at Zg Gallery through October.
