Texas Nightmare, the anticipated horror feature from writer-director Michael Merino (Clutch, Acceleration), is now available on platforms including Amazon, Apple TV, and Shudder, after gaining significant attention on the festival circuit over the past few months. The film blends psychological horror with David Lynch–inspired surrealism.
The film stars Sadie Katz (Clutch) and Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), with performances from Lew Temple (The Walking Dead), James Pratt (Eyes of Salt), Randy Charach (Vanished), Eva Hamilton (Black Mass), and Rufus Dorsey (Pearl Harbor).
The story follows Angela DuBois (Katz), a novelist who retreats to a secluded home in the Texas Hill Country to finish her latest book. What begins as a peaceful escape quickly descends into chaos as she finds herself in a deadly confrontation with a dangerous cult hidden deep in the wilderness.

The film made its debut at the Hollywood Horror International Festival in October where Katz earned the Best Actress award for her gripping performance. Texas Nightmare also secured Best Director at the Los Angeles Fantasy Fest in November, building the anticipation ahead of its release.
Written and directed by Merino, the film is produced by Merino and Randy Charach (The Fanatic). Katz and Rose also serve as co–executive producers, expanding their involvement beyond their acting roles. The film was shot in Los Angeles in fall 2024.
With strong momentum heading into its release, Texas Nightmare offers a potent mix of psychological horror, cult-driven terror, and captivating performances positioning it as a must-see for fans of the genre.
Texas Nightmare is now streaming on Amazon, Apple TV, and Shudder among others.
